A Chylling Experience 27-03-2024 / GuildStats bot
Imageear ye! Hear ye! An icy bridge reaches toward an isle of frost and hidden fire, with cold-hearted monsters grim and dire.
Image
A cold storm is coming from the north. The howling wind whispers stories of an old and forgotten frozen island. What was once a lush and beautiful paradise is now an everlasting ice desert dominated by various kinds of monsters. Deep down inside the isle and locked in ice, a once so proud race – the ursagrodon – is sleeping and vigilantly waiting to be freed again...From April 01 on until May 01, the island Chyllfroest will be accessible once again for all Premium players. West of Svargrond, an icy bridge has formed. This bridge makes it possible to access this special island. You will find different dungeons with various creatures for different level ranges there.If you are exploring Chyllfroest deeper, you might also find one of the famous frozen ursagrodons which can be thawed and tamed with some luck.But beware: Rumour has it that yetis have been seen on this island before, too.Enjoy spring, froest is coming...Your Community Managers
Balancing Project Changes Part III 26-03-2024 / GuildStats bot
Imageear Tibians,

welcome
Image
to the third part of our balancing project. For today's patch, we have made several changes again in order to brighten up your hunting experience:

Yalahar Cemetery Quarter
  • Increased monster density
  • Connected some of the underground cellars in the northeastern part of the cemetery (grim reaper area)
Our goal with these changes is to improve your hunting experience in all parts of the cemetery. In the northeastern part of this area, the newly added passages allow for a vertical loop through the cellars, where grim reapers are lurking in the shadows.

Yalahar Sunken Quarter
  • Increased monster density
  • Removed some obstacles in the eastern part of the deepest layer to create a broader passage
  • Increased experience from several monsters:
  • Quara predator: 1,600 -> 1,850 XP
  • Quara constrictor: 250 -> 380 XP
  • Quara mantassin: 400 -> 600 XP
  • Quara hydromancer: 800 -> 950 XP
  • Quara pincher: 1,200 -> 1,500 XP

This will mainly buff Yalahar Sunken Quarter and will also affect Malada, Calassa, Frozen Trench and Vandura Quara Caves.
  • Increased experience from bosses:
  • Splasher: 500 -> 1,500 XP
  • Inky: 250 -> 700 XP
  • Sharptooth: 1,600 -> 3,000 XP

In this area, we have increased the experience from all monsters, including the bosses, to create a more rewarding hunt. The new passage on the deepest layer should allow you to navigate through this area more efficiently.

Medusa Tower
  • Increased respawn rate by approximately 10%
  • Added another layer on top with the new boss Gorga (Bane category)
  • This new layer can be reached via a rope spot
  • A new teleporter, watched over by the stone-casting eyes of Gorga, can be used to jump back to the ground floor of the tower

These changes aim to give a proper finale to your ascent of the Medusa Tower and to make it more efficient.

Okolnir
  • Increased monster density
  • Increased respawn rate by approximately 100% (the respawn rate of some frost dragon hatchlings has been brought in line with this faster spawn rate)
  • Frost dragon: Increased earth sensitivity to 100
  • Frost dragon hatchling: Increased earth sensitivity to 100
This change will mainly buff Okolnir but will also affect Chyllfroest Icefire Caves.

Bounacean Lion (Crypt Warriors)
  • Crypt warrior: Increased experience from 4,200 -> 5,500 XP
  • Increased monster density
These change will mainly buff the second underground layer of this area.

Monster Graveyard

Monster attacks that previously caused fire damage, will now cause physical or death damage instead.This change should bring the difficulty of Monster Graveyard more in line with Crystal Enigma and Sparkling Pools.

We hope that these changes will improve your gaming experience and we look forward to your feedback.

Balancing Project Changes Part II 19-03-2024 / GuildStats bot
Imageear Tibians,

welcome to the second part
Image
of our ongoing balancing project. This time, our main focus is on the layout of the hunting grounds that are part of the Ferumbras' Ascendant quest.

General adjustments

First of all, we have expanded the fix regarding teleport traps to the remaining spots where trapping was still possible on the Ferumbras' Ascendant hunting grounds.

Additionally, we have implemented numerous map adjustments to these hunting grounds to enhance your hunting effectiveness. Below, we detail the specific modifications made to each of the Ferumbras' Ascendant hunting areas:

Grounds of Deceit

We have connected two cave passages on the first level.

Grounds of Fire

We have added a passage on the first level.

Grounds of Destruction

This was probably one of the most requested proposals regarding map changes. We have added a small corridor on the first level and on the level after the Shatterer has been defeated.

Grounds of Undeath

The ice sensitivity of the blightwalker has been increased.Our goal with this change is to make the ice element more viable in this hunting ground. This will also affect the Pits of Inferno, the Demon Forge as well as Roshamuul Prison.

We have added a cave passage to the first level and to the level after blood was flowing from the well.

Grounds of Despair

As we wanted the main path of these levels to stay intact, we decided to implement one-way teleporters at the end of the first and second level that allow you to jump back to the starting point of the respective level.

Hell Hub

A staircase has been implemented near the old levitate spot to provide faster access to the hunting grounds and to make hunting more efficient.

As always, we will closely monitor the impact that these changes will have on the hunting efficiency and hope that they will improve your overall gaming experience.

Coming next

On a final note, we would like to give you a sneak peek for the upcoming changes next week. We are currently preparing modifications for the following hunting grounds:
  • Yalahar Cemetery Quarter
  • Yalahar Sunken Quarter
  • Medusa Tower
  • Okolnir
  • Bounacean Lion
  • Monster Graveyard
We are thankful for your suggestions so far and look forward to further constructive discussions on the thread to this news article.

Imageear Tibians,

first of all, we
Image
would like to thank you once more for your participation in the survey, your ongoing discussions in the forum and your detailed analyses.

Our general aim is to provide biweekly patches. Next week is an exception, as we additionally plan to introduce some adjustments to the map layout of the Ferumbras' Ascendant hunting grounds.

For this week and today's patch, we have made the following changes to those hunting grounds:

General adjustments

Relocation of teleporter entrance points

We have received a lot of feedback that players get killed while being trapped on teleport entrances. We therefore shifted the entrance points from the hub right next to the teleports to give players the opportunity to leave the hunting grounds when being trapped.

  • Plagirath experience 50,000 -> 250,000 XP
  • Zamulosh experience 50,000 -> 250,000 XP

In line with our last major updates, we increased the experience gain from bosses to reward the effort you put into these fights.

Increased respawn rate
  • Increased respawn rate of the first level of the Grounds of Undeath by 17%
  • Increased respawn rate of the deepest level of the Grounds of Despair by 17%
Monster adjustments

This will mainly buff the Grounds of Undeath.
