I think another advantage for ornate shield is a price. SoC is much more expensive than an ornate.

I played when there was no quests and no pvp system yet, and all worlds were "pvp", so around 2003.

I tried it few times, but it calculated my loot wrong. It calculated that i had 60k profit, but actualy it was 75k.
