Hello, someone wrote a nice article and I realized it doesn't give me the option to edit my reply here, why is that? But it does give me option to edit my reply in my life thread for example or other threads.

Unfortunately yes - in Article/News/Newsticker boards it's not able to edit posts because - after accepted by us - some users can add for example hack links into their articles.
We've forbidden to edit any posts int that boards.
