I'm just wondering if it's possible in the future for this feature to be implemented into the forums.

If you are typing a post in the posting window you can click the quote buttons in the post list beneath it.
That allows multiquote already.

This is what I understood from it. Since it was just after he updated his life thread where a lot of reactions were that all got an answer.
