I don't know why he does that. But I can guess it has to do with there are lot of other monsters in drefia grims and less room to run.

The best exp without any boost or bonus stamina is about 750k/h.
I still feel uncomfortable with killing more than 1 at a time and usually just go 1 by 1.

You are somewhat right, the other creatures are mostly just in the way.
And, as I wrote above, I still hunt them 1 by 1 and then I feel the yala spawn is better suited for it.

Also, I've been hunting grims in yala for a while and have just gotten used to going there I guess
