i just love frozen trench for that, it's not too big and doesn't have billions of massive water elementals and this 1 bot that clears the whole spawn :c
it's just empty, a few predators, lots of mantassins (those drive me nuts) and constrictors
i dont' clear the pits because i don't like em, i just started hunting there with enchanted spears and man that way it's just too easy, forever tasking
i did like half my task with 40 spears

But the exp is not as good as serpents. I dont know about your world, but in myworld you can get the spawn in a reasonable time
