The "Customise Character" dialogue enables you to colour your mount, much like the way outfits are coloured. For the sake of convenience, you can replicate the outfit's colours onto the mount, and vice versa, you can duplicate the mount's colours onto the outfit.
Once bought, your character can use the mount ingame anytime, no matter if you have a free account or a Premium account.
